The 2011 Australian Stencil Art Prize and The Outpost Project


The Australian Stencil Art Prize is an annual stencil exhibition that is this year taking place in collaboration with The Outpost Project which is a HUGE urban art festival in Sydney Harbor on Cockatoo Island. The event goes from 4th of November until December 11th. If your in Sydney at any stage during that time I highly recommend you check this out as this years line up includes some of Australia's best stencil artists:

Chatsworth Gallery Opening


Number 6 Chatsworth Rd, Prahran, has recently been renovated and transformed into a semi-professional gallery. What was once a filthy garage is now a legit as all hell gallery space where up and coming artists can showcase their work to an audience of like minded people. All of the art will be up so sale, and all of it will be affordable - There is a $60 sale price limit on any one piece of art.

Grand opening is on Friday the 4th of November from 6pm to 9pm. Come down, have a drink, check out some rad art and music. Also, follow the Chatsworth Gallery facebook to find out more and keep updated.

Semi Permanent



Semi Permanent the annual design conference hits Melbourne on 22 September and there's still tickets available.  Speakers include Kelly Thompson, Droga 5, Buro North, Sam Leach, Patrick Clair, Jurppa Hosk, Ken Taylor, The Entente, Benja Harney, Animal Logic, Scott Dadich and Platon.

In conjunction with Semi Permanent, Just Another Agency http://www.justanotheragency.com.au/ is bringing the second installment of of their annual Just Another Group Show on 22 September from 6 - 9pm at 1000 Pound Bend.

1000 Pound Bend will also host the Semi Permanent after party on 24 September from 8 - 12pm.
